2012 Season Results

Our fabulous Stud boy Onyx has done exceptionally well in the Catz Inc. National Show results. The Catz Inc. 2012 end-of-show season Awards Dinner 10/11/12 in Auckland saw Onyx win many awards as shown below:

National ranking 3rd best All Breed Champion

National Best of Breed – Bengal (but sadly,  not many Bengal breeders show their cats)

National 3rd Most Points for Championship Cat

National 2nd Best Shorthair Championship Cat

Given he was up against some very tough opposition throughout NZ we are extremely  happy with his standing and very proud of him.

Previous news

We were not able to show Onyx in the next two shows but we took him, Princess and Moony to the last Spring Fever show held in Kelston 16th September. Onyx’s best ring was a second and we were very happy with that as he should remain in second place in the National score standing. He is now a Double Grand Champion!!

Moony got a couple of seconds so that is a good start for her.  Princess was a bit overcome by all the noise and strange people invading her cage space and handling her. She didn’t do anything terrible, but a struggling and nervous youngster is not going to get a good score. Fortunately we don’t intend to show her we just wanted to see how she handled the show environment and how the Judges evaluated her.

Nine Lives Catz Inc. Show, Hamilton May 13th

We headed down to Hamilton on the Saturday before the show and had a great time. Onyx had time to settle down overnight and there was only a short trip in the morning to the Hamilton Gardens where the show was being held.

He did well in the show, winning firsts and seconds against some tough competition.  Love Australian Judges!

The biggest news is that Onyx has now won enough points to earn a ‘Champion’ title.

Auckland Easter Show April 6th– 9th

The show was run over the four day Easter Holiday period.

Onyx was not placed well on the first day (4ths and 5ths) but then did very well with the Australian Judges on his second day (2nds and 3rds). Overall, he ended by being third out of all the championship entire cats so we are very happy with that.

Catz Inc. Birthday Show, March 10th 2012.

Onyx attended his first show and won all divisions. We are so proud of our beautiful boy and the Judges have confirmed that he is very special. He won in the  short haired kittens division (up to 8 months old), he won in the all breeds division, winning all the best in show ribbons. He was also awarded best breeder in three divisions. This means his Breeder is rewarded for breeding such a great Bengal.

He behaved as though he had done it a thousand times before.
